IBOS member Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has had an outstanding 2016 with its performance of top-notch services to clients.

RBC was awarded ‘World’s best bank for Consumer Banking’ by Global Finance, in its annual list of the best banks in the world.

Earlier this year, RBC was also named one of the World’s Best Trade Finance Providers for the fourth consecutive year in 2016, according to Global Finance. In its 16th year, Global Finance selected the best trade finance providers based on input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts.

Additionally, according to the J.D. Power 2016 Canadian Retail Banking Satisfaction Study, RBC ranks as having the Highest Customer Satisfaction rating among Canada’s Big 5 Banks. The study measures customer satisfaction across seven factors, calculated on a 1,000-point scale, in which RBC achieved a score of 765. RBC also performed particularly well in all seven factors, most notably in ‘product’.

RBC understands that mobile interactivity is important to many aspects of the banking customer experience. The J.D. Power study found that 34% of bank customers are using mobile banking channels in 2016, compared to 27% in 2015, and 20% in 2014.
