It was recently announced that our member bank, NatWest Group, is collaborating with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence, with the goal of helping customers boost their financial wellbeing.
This partnership recognises that harnessing the power of responsible and ethical AI use will be essential to achieving NatWest’s commitment to help customers by providing personalised support. This includes buying a home, saving for the future, learning critical money management skills or setting up and growing a business.
Working with AWS, NatWest developed AI models that help the bank detect if customers are potentially victims of fraud. By analysing customers’ behaviours with AI, NatWest can monitor unusual payments patterns earlier, enabling them to intervene more quickly and reduce financial loss.
