Profile
Banka Koper has a strong foothold in the Slovene financial environment, performing all commercial and investment banking transactions in Slovenia and abroad. As the leading bank in the Coastal region it provides a broad range of banking services focused on long-term relationships with clients, and with its 41 branches has an important presence in all the Slovene regional centres.
The bank offers its clients a full range of retail and corporate services including loans, guarantees and deposits, national and international money transfers, cash management, investment banking, card business and electronic banking. Its Universal Sales Programme has been expanded in recent times to handle other financial services (open-end Pension Fund, insurance policy sales and reciprocal schemes, financial derivatives, finance management, leasing services, etc). A wide range of offers and services are available to the complete banking segment, i.e. from private individuals and sole traders to commercial companies and other registered concerns. FINOR leasing d.o.o., a specialized company owned solely by Banka Koper, allows the bank to offer leasing services.
In the field of banking information systems and technology, in spite of its already powerful electronic banking marketing position, the bank has become even stronger in 2005 with the introduction of smart cards for mass use, representing the latest trend in Slovenia and further across its borders. Activities run parallel with other banks who are members of the Activa system, the largest card-pay system in Slovenia. Together with national institutions and other private companies, the bank has designed a payment card on the basis of microchip technology permitting wider and safer electronic usage.
On the basis of an aggressive market approach, business expansion with new operations, continued development of its business network and alliances with other banks, Banka Koper has every opportunity to further increase its 6.0% percent market share.
